VSAT

VSAT is a satcom technology that utilises geostationary high throughput satellites to facilitate exceedingly reliable two-way internet communications that can be used in a wide range of applications. Marine VSAT antennae are stabilised to provide that link in the most demanding conditions. It's worth noting that VSAT should be at the core of most satcom solutions, even when considering LEO and cellular higher speed services. This hybrid approach, centered on VSAT, provides the best of all options.

TVRO

With a TVRO system, we can receive broadcast digital satellite TV signals that enables you to watch standard or high definition or even 4k live TV whilst at sea. Plus, if your vessel is able to accommodate a larger dish, we distribute the signals to multiple TV receivers throughout the vessel for independent viewing.


Important Note: TVRO costs nothing for the data transfer so is a cost-effective addition to onboard streaming capabilities

Cellular

Cellular connectivity refers to internet traffic carried via terrestrial mobile phone networks including 4G and 5G. High performance routers and antennae designed for the marine environment provide the ideal building block for your onboard streaming capable network. These newest network technologies can provide high-capacity over a wide area. The propagation of this infrastructure allows the populations to make phone calls and access the internet from almost every country in the world.

Satcoms

Satcoms is a generic term for all forms of communication carried via satellite. Our global satellite communications portfolio can leverage a range of different satellite fleets (VSAT / Iridium / Starlink / Inmarsat) each with their own USPs to enable our customers to reach out to who they want, when they want, wherever they are.


We will be adding OneWeb to our portfolio in 2023 with additional players expected to enter the market before 2030 – this is an exciting and fast moving space.
