Established in 1985; Burmarc Limited has been operating as a technical representation company with origins in the offshore environmental business; measuring wind, waves & tidal flow as well as water quality. Our principle manufacturer developed a specialism in heading/pointing that during the late 1990s had evolved into a focus on satellite communications and military navigation with target acquisition, developing, in conjunction with the MOD, a dedicated system for the British Army for use in operational combat. 

Burmarc was instrumental in the UK introduction and support of TV and communication products for mobile platforms; which facilitated real-time satellite TV on-the-move marine & land based users. The representation business was merged with CA Clase (UK) Limited in 2001 with whom Burmarc maintained a shareholding until very recently.

With more than 20-years’ experience in the field we are a leading authority on mobile satellite TV & Internet applications and key staff have been involved with all the projects for Broadcasters’ Outside Broadcast and Point of Sale vehicles as well as supporting OEM boatbuilders and cruise & ferry operators.

Installation examples range from mobile weapons testing platform: V-SAT satellite communications system (while stationed offshore) to Premiership football team coaches: TVRO and multimillion-pound yachts where both TVRO and V-SAT solutions are essential. Recent projects include IoT (Internet of Things) deployments in tropical research plantation for a global food manufacturer. Converging of communications and media delivery technologies in these mobile verticals are our emphasis for the end of this decade.

In 2019 the company's focus is to service, support & supply connectivity solutions for professional land-based users (broadcast, emergency services, vehicle operators NGO) and maritime & coastal shipping.

Today the business has a reputation for outstanding project delivery & support and act as KVH’s premier UK service partner. We have up-to-date manufacturer certification for all our key partners and are enjoying the rapidly developing outlook for mobile connectivity that LEO operations in particular promise.
